Praying with Your Children
Thank you all for your participation in our program-wide Rosary. The students are getting comfortable with the prayers, and seeing them pray all together with you was so powerful.
When it comes to helping your children learn prayers, the importance of repetition can not be overstated. Your child will greatly benefit from daily practice in your home. We are doing our best here, but we are nothing compared to you! The example you set at home with instruct them far better than anything we can do once a week.
I strongly encourage you to develop a prayer routine that works for your family. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, as long as it is something that is a normal part of what you do. Start small; a short prayer before everyone leaves for the day, and a prayer together before bed at night. My family often prays the Rosary together in the car on the way to an activity.
Parents as Teachers Seminar
On Tuesday, November 15 at 6:30, we will be hosting a seminar on Parents as Teachers. You are your child’s first and greatest teacher, but that doesn’t always mean that you feel prepared to fill that role. This seminar will provide strategies for working with your child, and give you ideas on how to become intentional teachers of The Faith.
Email bhopersberger@smqoc.com for more information.
All Saints Day
We will not have class on Tuesday, November 1st so that families can attend Mass. All Saints Day is a Holy Day of Obligation, and a wonderful opportunity for families to focus on those who have achieved their eternal reward.

Family Movie Night
St. Mary Queen of Creation is hosting a Family Movie Night on Saturday, October 29. Students should have brought home the flyer for this last week.
